What does the C.L.A.S.S. acronym mean?

Is this a homeschool co-op? Do I have to volunteer or teach?

No, C.L.A.S.S. is NOT a homeschool co-op. It is a resource to support parents in their homeschool efforts no matter their chosen format.

For some families, C.L.A.S.S. is the much-needed break during the week and considered an “extra-curricular” activity for their son or daughter.

While some parents need support with curriculum selection and planning, others bypass this service. Most parents appreciate instructional coaching and periodic assessment of their child’s academic and social growth with suggestions for improvement.

Parents are never asked to volunteer or teach classes.

C.L.A.S.S. staff will handle that part, while you cross things off your to-do list.

Additionally, we can provide the required homeschool oversight by a certificated teacher, if you do not meet the education requirements by the state of Washington.

What do you specialize in?

C.L.A.S.S. specializes in social skills development for kids ages 4-9. Kids ages 10-13 receive differentiated academic and social enrichment. Homeschool support, oversight & coaching is provided for parents. Summer programs are offered for students ages 4-11. Supplemental art classes are offered throughout the year for ages 4 to adult.

Additionally, as a seasoned special education teacher, our Director is fluent in providing differentiated instruction based on individual student needs, both academically and behaviorally. This is a tremendous asset to homeschool students who may be ahead of, or behind, their chronological peers in any given area. Isn’t that one of the reasons so many families choose to homeschool in the first place? We help with that!

How are children served?

Prekindergarten students are served in a class of up to 10 students, while Kindergarten consists of15 students or less. Daily activities include circle time, kinder-based academics, and interactive play centers. Individual and group interaction is used to facilitate social and life skills such as taking turns, cleaning up after oneself, sharing, handling conflict, persevering through a difficult task, communicating needs, walking in line, etc. It is through play and interaction with others that children learn what we call “people skills.”

Academic skills focus on literacy, number sense, and handwriting.

Children ages 6-9 in the Primary class continue developing in social skills, literacy, written expression, and mathematics. Reading and math content is taught whole-group, small-group, and individually, based on the unique needs of each student cohort. Classroom-based assessments determine which concepts will be covered each school year.

Children ages 10-13 in the Elementary class learn mathematics, written expression, science, and social studies. Reading intervention groups are also conducted when needed.

Flexibility for student placement is available, based on individual need and is not limited to chronological age.

Who is eligible to enroll?

Children ages 4-13 are eligible to be admitted to C.L.A.S.S. Homeschool Enrichment. C.L.A.S.S. does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, honorably discharged veteran or military status, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or ability of the children or their parents. Parent/Guardian acceptance of the Guiding Principles for C.L.A.S.S. are required. Christian Liberty Academic Social Supports, LLC seeks to meet the needs of homeschool parents, but recognizes that not all families have the same beliefs and may not be comfortable having their children as participants of this enrichment center.

Are Summer Day Camps different than the academic school year?

Yes! Summer day camp sessions are one week long each, with students attending Monday through Friday. During enrollment, parents choose either a week of morning classes (9am to 12pm) or afternoon classes (1:00pm – 4:00pm). Mixing attendance times is not an option due to registration capacity. Class sessions are $125 for the week, C.L.A.S.S. staff aims to make summer learning a fun time for kids, offering a different thematic unit for each week.

Can C.L.A.S.S. satisfy my Washington state homeschool certification requirements?

Yes! As a state certified teacher with endorsements in K-8 general education and K-12 special education, our Director, Audra Keyanna can serve as the certificated teacher and provide oversight for your homeschool program. You will receive the additional service of assistance developing learning objectives for your child, on-site academic enrichment for six hours per week, and state-required assessment.

What are the rates for your services?

Enrollment fees vary by class. Please see the finance page to see the tuition rate for the current school year. Tuition includes twice-weekly on-site academic and social skills instruction, quarterly academic assessments and intervention suggestions, curriculum and resource support, and instructional coaching and plan development for parents. A 10% discount is given to additional children enrolled from one household.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes! Christian Liberty Academic Social Supports, LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation in the state of Washington and licensed in the City of Wenatchee. It is covered by business liability insurance. All Washington state licensing requirements are met.

What are your terms and conditions?

Successful registration requires payment arrangements with FACTS Tuition Management prior to enrollment. Parents must also agree to the Guiding Principles. Who is the Founder and Director of C.L.A.S.S.?

Audra Keyanna is a certificated teacher and school administrator in the state of Washington, with over 21 years of experience as a mother and public-school special education teacher. A resident of the Upper Valley and Wenatchee Valley for 27 years, she has taught children of all ages ranging from preschool to age 18. In addition to serving as a teacher, she served as a church Children’s Director and is a specialist in youth development as the Commander of the Pangborn Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol.
